Stand Against Racism, 2022 Proclamation
The mayor of Wenatchee, Frank Kuntz, and the mayor of East Wenatchee, Jerrilea Crawford, read and signed the Stand Against Racism Proclamation at recent city council meetings. This year is especially amazing, as this is the first year that the City of East Wenatchee has signed the Stand Against Racism Proclamation. This proclamation is a way for our cry for racial and social justice to reach the community - including residents, local businesses, educators, and community and faith-based organizations to celebrate diversity and advocate for the elimination of racism.Don't forget to join us at this year's Stand Against Racism events. The Wenatchee event is April 26 at Wenatchee Valley College by the fountain from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. An anti-racism march meeting at the YWCA Thrift Store at 4:00pm. The Omak event is April 27 at Wenatchee Valley College Omak Campus from 12:00 pm - 3:30 pm.
