The YWCA Thrift Store is a welcoming community hub offering gently used furniture, housewares, electronics, and clothing for all ages. Fueled by local donations and supported by local shoppers, every purchase, donation, and volunteer hour helps fund YWCA NCW’s housing, empowerment, outreach, and advocacy programs.

All proceeds stay local, helping community members rebuild, grow, and thrive.

Our Thrift Store is only successful because of the dedicated and awesome volunteers! Whether you have 30 minutes a month or 3 hours per day to help receive and sort donations and keep the flow of inventory going, we welcome you!

Voucher Program

YWCA NCW offers a Clothing Voucher Program through our Thrift Store to support individuals and families. These vouchers allow our community to obtain clothing and other essential textile items at no cost.

Vouchers are distributed by local participating agencies that provide social assistance and community-based support, ensuring access to essential resources for individuals experiencing financial hardship or housing instability

💙 Why It Matters

A warm coat, a clean pair of jeans, professional attire for an interview, or clothing for a child starting school may seem like a small thing. In reality, these essentials can be the difference between feeling isolated and feeling empowered.

The Voucher Program is a shining example of what happens when a community comes together. It demonstrates that partnerships matter, and that by working collectively, we can remove barriers and help our neighbors thrive.

Voucher Program FAQ’s

  • Redeemable for $30 of wearables (ex. clothing, shoes, coats, etc.)

  • One voucher per person

  • One voucher every six months 

  • Voucher does not expire 

  • Voucher not combinable with any other sales or discounts 

  • If the total is less than $30, the balance is forfeited

Item Donations ↘

By donating your new or gently used items to the YWCA Thrift Store, you directly support the women, children, and families in our community that need your support the most. 100% of the proceeds from the donated items sold in our store go to supporting our housing, empowerment and outreach & advocacy programs. Your donations stay local, and are 100% tax-deductible.

How to Donate ↘

Donations for the store can be brought to the YWCA Thrift Store during regular operating hours. Warehouse donations can be dropped off during regular Warehouse hours.

If you would like to donate non-perishable food or personal hygiene items for our homeless housing shelter pantry, baby items such as diapers and wipes, or bedding/clothing items for the residents in our shelters, please call us ahead of time to arrange a drop off, 509-662-3531.
