Volunteer with YWCA NCW

Volunteers are critical to everything we do. Volunteers have the passion and ambition that make our life-changing work possible.

There are a variety of ways to volunteer with YWCA NCW. Whether you only volunteer twice a year or twice a week, at our Thrift Store, facilitating an Enrichment Class on a topic you’re knowledgeable about, or helping us at community events, your contribution is welcome!

Volunteers are the staple of our organization.

  • Our retail thrift store raises critical funds for our housing and economic programs. Help us receive, sort, price and stock clothing and item donations in our warehouse and store.

  • Are you knoledgeable about a topic that helps impact peoples lives or the community, and want to share your knowledge? Sign up to lead an Enrichment class to our residents! Classes are held each week on Tuesday at 1 pm and we would love to have you!

  • Help us have successful fundraisers and mission-related events by supporting event operations prior to and on the day of our events.

Spread the word about YWCA by posting or handing out YWCA flyers at various businesses and nonprofit partners in North Central Washington particularly to promote events, fundraisers, and volunteer opportunities.

  • Participate in the governance of YWCA NCW while furthering our mission. This volunteer position requires the ability to commit to attending regular board meetings and take part in association activities and mission related events. There is a minimum board time commitment of one year.
