Staff Profile
Marlene Curiel, Housing ManagerMarlene started working at YWCA NCW in February of 2022 as the Housing Programs Manager. She is passionate about working at YWCA NCW and being a voice for the vulnerable population that we work with, that often do not have a voice. Her passions include social justice, being a mother, furthering her education, and helping others. Her hobbies outside of work include spending time with her family.
We are excited to have an almost entirely new Board of Directors comprising of 11 diverse community leaders that are ready to do the work. At the board retreat in April, we spent time not only learning about each other and the YWCA, but also really honing in on priorities and a forward looking strategic plan. Thank you Michele Sandberg, Clover Simon, Shelly Nelson, Nick Tapp, Anna Mages, Christina Pfeiffer, Coral Rodriguez, Erin Tofte, Luz Sanchez-Zaragoza, Misha Whitfield, and Neftali Mendoza (Neff).
