Join YWCA NCW for a Juneteenth celebration at Walla Walla Park to honor and celebrate Juneteenth — the day that marks the end of slavery in the United States and recognizes African American freedom, resilience, and contributions.

What to expect

  • Delicious barbecue provided by Burch Mountain BBQ

  • Family-friendly activities and games including kite flying and kick ball!

  • Time for reflection and community conversation about ongoing work toward justice and healing

  • Thrift store Pop-up with a fun selection of items for sale.

Who should attend Open to everyone in the community. Families, friends, and neighbors are encouraged to come together to celebrate, learn, and connect.

  • The event is held outdoors at Walla Walla Park; accessible paths and restrooms available
